Pokémon UNITE Guide Video

With Pokémon UNITE Available for Canadians for a limited amount of time, I had the change to BETA test the game and found alot of useful tips to help prepare yourself when the game is released Worldwide in the near future.

Pokémon UNITE

For now the Video Above is a Quick Guide will explain in 10 minutes how to Play Pokémon UNITE, what to invest in, and how to play effectively so you can Rank higher in competitive play during the BETA and Public Launch. If you don’t have 10 minutes, here is your quick Cheat Sheet below from the Current BETA. Click Here to Download Pokémon UNITE when it’s available [For Android Users]

If you have played League of Legends or Mobile Legends, Congrats you are better than 80% Of Current Players in Pokémon UNITE. If not, here are the basic rules to Pokémon’s own MOBA Game.

The Gameplay

Pokémon UNITE Map

There are 5 Towers on Each Player’s Side and there Levels of Defense.

2 Towers with 80 Goal Limit

2 Towers with 100 Goal Limit

1 Tower with Infinite Goal Limit

Defense Levels for Pokémon UNITE

However during the last 2 minutes of Game Play Points are Doubled so you can score more on each Tower

The Best way to explain, If a Tower had 79 Goals (Balls), and a Player with 50 Balls places them into a Tower, they can get up to 179 Points Total from that one individual tower during the Last 2 Minutes of Gameplay. If the Tower was destroyed before the 2 minute mark the most the Tower can provide is 80 or 100 Points. The Final Tower CANNOT be destroyed, but can receive Infinite Points.

Picking your Pokémon

Pokemon are categorized with 2 Labels of the following

RANGED

ALL-ROUNDER

MELEE

ATTACKER

DEFENDER

SPEEDSTER

SUPPORTER

I personally prefer to categorize them into 4 Categories:

Ranged and Brute Pokémon UNITE
Tank and Support Pokémon UNITE

RANGED: Pokémon that deal damage from father distances

Charizard

Pikachu

Gardevoir

Cinderace

Greninja

Venasaur

Cramorant

BRUTE: Pokémon that deal damage Face to Face

Garchomp

Gengar

Lucario

Absol

Talonflame

Machamp

TANK: Pokémon that can take hits and are more defensive-oriented

Blastoise

Snorlax

Slowbro

Crustle

SUPPORT: Pokémon that can help boost Allies or assist in Battle

Alolan Ninetails

Mr.Mime

Eldegoss

Clefable (in 2020 Demo)

NOTE: All Pokémon can learn up to 4 Different Moves, and can change from being Support to Tank, to Brute, to Range. Depends on Player’s Preferences and Items on the Pokémon.

This list is based on the BETA Released for March 2021.

Picking your Item

Each Pokémon can hold up to 3 Held Items and they can be all upgraded to LEVEL 30 (And will probably increase further in the future)

While all items have a description effect, the most important stat effecting information is in the right hand column. Select your items based on those stats and your Pokémon’s attack style.

I also believe Special Attack = Range attacks, and Melee Attacks are Attack.

I recommend Muscle Band, Float Stone and Leftovers for first time players as it adds Speed, Attack, and Health to your Pokémon.

Held Item Pokémon UNITE

You can also Hold a Battle Item, which can be used in battle as many times as you would like with a refresh timer.

I recommend X Speed as it’s useful both on offense and defense.

Scoring Points

How to Play Pokémon UNITE

Pretty Basic…

  1. Kill/Assist Kill Pokémon or Opponents
  2. Donate Balls to Towers and destroy them if possible
  3. Level Up and Repeat
  4. If you see “Wild Pokémon” or I like to call them Assist Pokémon, defeating them will grant you more Points and makes scoring on your Opponent Easier
  5. The team with the most points wins (Tower destruction is important, but Points are the final measurement of success)
  6. The Last 2 Minutes are Crucial as Points are Doubled
Wild Pokemon on Maps from BETA 2021

And that’s about it!

Hopefully this should help you out preparing for Pokémon UNITE when it’s ready for public release!
